Automatically collected
- We use Firebase Hosting which may log standard web server access data (IP addresses, request timestamps)
- Google Analytics (measurement ID: G-7TWJMKZY6K) may collect anonymous usage data including pages visited, device type, and general location
- PostHog (EU region, hosted at eu.i.posthog.com) collects usage events such as pages viewed, filters applied, events saved, and calendar exports. Data is only collected after you accept the analytics consent banner. Signed-in users are identified by their Firebase UID — no name or email is sent to PostHog unless you are signed in.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Authentication: To verify your identity and manage your account
- Player profile: To display your profile to other players and match you with events at your level
- Event management: To associate submitted events with your account so you can edit or manage them
- Feedback: To improve the platform based on user input
- Analytics: To understand how the site is used and improve the experience
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not send marketing emails.
4. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore database and Firebase Authentication), hosted in the asia-southeast1 region (Singapore). Firebase is operated by Google and subject to Google's Terms of Service and Firebase Privacy Policy.
Some data (like your filter preferences) is stored locally in your browser's localStorage and never sent to our servers.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only with:
- Google Firebase: Infrastructure provider (authentication, database, hosting)
- Google Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics
- PostHog: Product analytics (consent required). Data is stored on PostHog's EU servers. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.
- Other users: Your player profile name, avatar, and padel level are visible to other signed-in users
6. Content Moderation
Padel Events Bangkok allows users to submit event listings and player profiles. To maintain a safe and accurate platform:
- Reporting: Any user can report an event as inaccurate, spam, inappropriate, or a duplicate using the "Report this event" link on an event page.
- Review process: Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Content that violates our guidelines will be removed or corrected.
- Content removal: We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted content that is misleading, offensive, or violates applicable law.
- Account action: Users who repeatedly submit prohibited content may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
7. Your Rights
You can:
- Access your data: View your profile and submitted events through the app
- Update your data: Edit your player profile at any time
- Delete your account: Use the "Delete Account" option in your profile settings, or contact us at the email below
- Opt out of analytics: Decline or withdraw consent using the cookie/analytics banner on the site. You can also use browser extensions like Google Analytics Opt-out or enable "Do Not Track".
8. Cookies & Local Storage
We use localStorage (not cookies) to save your filter preferences, theme choice, and cached data for performance. This data stays on your device.
Firebase Authentication may use cookies or IndexedDB to maintain
your sign-in session. Google Analytics uses cookies to track
anonymous usage. PostHog stores a pseudonymous identifier in
localStorage (keys prefixed with ph_) to link events
across page views — this is only set after you accept the analytics
consent banner.
9. Security
We protect your data with Firebase Security Rules that restrict database access based on authentication status and user roles. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. File uploads are restricted to images under 5 MB.
10. Children
This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
